The upgrade option allows players to boost the gear rating of an item up 700 points and also add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.

It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll want to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, for example the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.

Trinkets can be upgraded by players as well as weapons, armor, and potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be swapped at will without losing statistics.
